After those last drops of New Year’s Eve champagne,
some revelers may be regretful the next morning. Unfortunately, there is no magic cure for
hangovers, but there are steps you can take to avoid feeling bad after a night of fun.
I’m Miranda Savioli with your latest health news. Hangover “cures” are a popular online
search term; however, doctors say the simple truth is… there is no cure. There is no
medication recommended for a hangover and one study says the only way to dodge those
painful aftereffects is to drink in moderation or not at all. Other studies suggest drinking
fruit juice, because that type of sugar could help lessen symptoms; eating carbs, like bread,
to help level out the low blood sugar tied to hangovers; and hydrating the next morning
with Sprite or herbal infusions to help rid the body of a chemical that contributes hangover
symptoms. Of course, the simplest option is just not
drinking or drinking in moderation.
