2019 – The Year in Review – Our Wyoming Life

Hi, I’m Mike. 2019 is drawing to an end, and with it another
year on the ranch. Today we look back and thank you for another
great 12 months, on our Wyoming life. On January 22nd 2017 we started a journey. The road that journey led us down has been
full of twists and turn, good times and bad, but eventually it led us to this point. Almost 3 years later, we have done some great
things, but nothing is greater than bringing a community together and the proof of that
we see in almost every video we release. In 2019 we had over 9 million views, and over
100 thousand hours of watch time. That’s like watching the wizard of oz, over
50,000 times and just like that movie, the whole thing sometimes feels completely surreal. In 2019, we also gained 60,000 subscribers,
half of the entire view base we have today, but we began 2019 with 60,000 less subscribers
and a blizzard. That blizzard dumped over a foot of snow on us,
and with 40 mile per hour winds we again we started the new year with a struggle, but
it wasn’t the last struggle of the year and it surely wasn’t going to keep us from
the triumphs. This year as we take a look back we also remind
ourselves to look forward. We look back for a number of reasons, to learn
from our mistakes, to see the things we left behind, but most importantly, we look back,
to see how far we have come. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it until
the day I am no more, whether its only on YouTube or on this earth itself. Its you who makes us what we are If you ate today, thank a farmer. Farmers who feed your family, then take a
second job to feed their own. Farmers that work in acres, not hours and
those that put you ahead of themselves. And we would like to thank you, for being a part
of our lives, for taking us on a journey that wouldn’t be possible if you weren’t the
fuel behind it. This year we have done amazing things, and
we don’t want to stop. With your continued help we will keep moving
forward and spreading the word of agriculture, and the families behind your food. Have a very merry Christmas and a happy new
year. We will see you again in 2020, a whole new
year and a whole new adventure ahead of us, on Our Wyoming Life

  2. You have a good point mike people should be thankful where there food comes from, and who raised it.. but my biggest question is though mike, for all those people you had over to your place, or people who wanna come over to your place, the biggest question is would they be or are they gonna be farmers someday? Cuz this country is losing too many farmers! We need to keep American farmers going.. which has been going on through generations. But Mike you should watch a video from WT Farm Girl channel she made a day or so ago so you see how kids excuse me most kids generations are like around here..

  17. MERRY CHRISTmas and Happy New Year! Keep growing, thank you for helping spread the word of ups and downs gains and loses. Most never get to know our lives on farmes or ranches, they take for granted where the produce and livestock come from. They have no idea the chances we take daily of being hurt or killed providing for our own families as well as theirs entails. The bad wheather, breakdowns, drought to flooding, and enough money to keep afloat to start a new year. Your helping to spread that honest open way for people to see the true meaning of life we live. That's worth more than any newspaper, magazine, or TV show. Keep it up!πŸŽ„πŸ’œ

Merry Christmas to you guys and the kiddies. I wish I could do more but I watch all you posts to the end so that you get full monetary value from my watches. I always wanted to get get into farming but life got in the way then I was diagnosed with a condition that makes arthritis look like a picnic it effects all my joints including my neck and back. This fall I underwent a 7+ hr surgery to fuse my neck over 12” had to be fused with rods and screws.( they had to cut the back off my spine to allow my spinal column to stop being compressed but they were not able to attach some of it again so my dreams of being a farmer have come and gone all I can do is thank God I’ve cheated becoming a quadriplegic by January due to having the surgery so your the top channel I live my dreams of becoming a farmer and I’m living through you guys. Lol God Bless and I truly hope you and the kids have a joyous and safe new year.

  26. Hi, I'm a 12 year old kid living in a busy metro. I have no idea how to do anything on a ranch. But when I come of the age I want to become a rancher. My point is I want to learn more about ranching while I'm still young so that by I'm 18 I might be knowledgeable enough to start a ranch of my own. Any tips?
